Students will receive instruction in techniques that are applicable to law enforcement from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, wrestling, and mixed martial arts disciplines and build on the basic foundations of defense and arrest tactics principles taught by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board. Students will also be encouraged to bring in real life examples of situations and scenarios they have experienced to work through during open mat time during class and find new techniques to utilize in the scenario. Students are required to be sworn law enforcement officers or jailers or be certifiable as law enforcement officers or jailers.
