Course Description

This 108-hour Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course prepares students to provide immediate lifesaving care during medical and traumatic emergencies. Training follows the Wisconsin Department of Health Services EMR curriculum and EMS standards. Instruction includes classroom learning, hands-on skills, scenarios, and competency evaluations. Topics include patient assessment, airway management, CPR/AED, medical and trauma emergencies, bleeding and shock, pediatric and obstetric care, and emergency operations. Successful completion meets the educational requirements for initial Wisconsin EMR certification.
