Course Description

Today’s workplace is comprised of five different generations of people working alongside each other and has led to increased tension and decreased cooperation within teams. Contrary to popular belief (and assumption), the issue isn’t in the differences between the generations, it is in the lack of understanding of the generations.

Section Notes

Generational diversity in the workplace can encompass up to 5 generations. How do leaders of such a workforce lead? How do we develop effective communications with generations we may not understand? This is a challenge for those nearing retirement as well as those just entering the workforce. Understanding our similarities and differences in a way that is applicable to all is the first step in navigating this dilemma.  To do this we will look inward first, then outward as we discover the soft people skills required to not just get along but to allow any group to succeed in this diverse work environment.

2. Your personalities as a tool to span the generational gaps
